Abu Subhan Welfare trustee celebrated a commemoration on the occasion of 15th Death Anniversary of A.S.M.O Subhan on 17th July, 2022.

A day-long painting exhibition is organized with the paintings of talented painters who have received scholarships from Abu Subhan Welfare Trust. In this event, a wonderful cultural program was organized by the students of camellia Duncan Foundation School. H.E Ms. Nathalichard inaugurated the painting exhibition. In this program, the chief guest was the Ambassador of Switzerland as well as the honorable Managing Trustee Mrs. Nasreen Subhan, Trustee Mr. Monsur Ahmed Choudhury, Trustee Ms. Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Trustee Dr. S.M Akbar, Trustee Ms. Zaitun Sayef, Trustee and special guest Mr. Hamiduzzaman Khan, the painter of Bangladesh.

Abu Subhan was born lucky. He could not draw but he loved paintings and had the ability to see with a painter’s eyes. Though he has sadly passed away, Abu Subhan is lucky once more to be able to help those with the skill he so wished to possess. This Scholarship, in his name, will help artists who need to get through Art College-especially those from marginalized communities – to acquire the expertise that will aid them in drawing the attention of art lovers everywhere. The Scholarship will be granted by the Abu Subhan Welfare Trust headed by Mrs. Subhan. There are six members of this Trust Board who will oversee the selection of Scholars and their progress in their studies.

The Scholarship is aimed primarily at the people of the hills for whom seeking help or attracting attention is not an easy task. The Trustee Board will research and make a shortlist of aspiring artists who have not been formally trained, and who wish to enter the selection process.
